The PuraMax 2 has the same outside size as the Max 3 by PETKIT’s figures, and no camera. Amazon sold it new for $300 when we checked.

How to choose a PETKIT
Weigh your heaviest cat. PETKIT rates the models with a published range up to 22 lb. For a bigger cat, see large cats by weight and entry.
Count your cats. PETKIT gives no cat limit, only days between emptying for one cat. With two or three cats, expect to empty the bin two or three times as often. If you want the app to tell cats apart, pick a camera model.
Read the entry figure with care. PETKIT gives an entrance height for each model, quoted in the table in its own words. Other makers measure the opening in other ways, so compare PETKIT models with each other, not with a Litter-Robot’s entryway size. If a few inches matter for your cat, ask PETKIT how it measures the entrance before you buy.
Measure the floor spot. The footprint column is width by depth. Leave room in front of the entry for your cat to step in and out.

How heavy a cat can use a PETKIT litter box?

Is the Purobot Ultra worth it over the Max Pro 2?
Both have PETKIT's AI camera. The Ultra cost $309 more on Amazon when we checked. PETKIT gives it 20 days between emptying for one cat, against 17 for the Max Pro 2. The Ultra seals each waste bag itself with a refill ring, so you buy PETKIT's rings rather than plain bags. If one cat and fewer bin trips matter most, the Ultra; if the camera is what you want, the Max Pro 2 does it for less.
PuraMax 2 or Purobot Max 3?
They have the same outside size by PETKIT's figures. The Max 3 cost $70 more on Amazon when we checked. PETKIT gives the Max 3 15 days between emptying for one cat and a weight range of 3.3 to 22 lb. For the PuraMax 2, PETKIT's manual gives only a minimum cat weight, so you are buying it with fewer published limits.
