For hard floors with pets, the Roborock Q10 S5+. Roborock publishes every figure this house turns on: 10,000 Pa of suction, a mop (vibrating pad), a self-emptying dock rated for 49 days, an anti-tangle main and side brush, 150 min of runtime. It lists at $550, was $280 on Amazon when checked, and Roborock's own store had it at $280.
The iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo is the Roomba answer: a mop (two spinning pads) it washes itself, a dock rated for 75 days, at $800 list ($700 on Amazon when checked). iRobot does not publish a suction figure or say whether the brush is anti-tangle, so the pet-hair row reads not captured for every Roomba here. Among the other Roborocks, the Roborock Q7 M5+ at $280 states the same dock and brush but no mop mechanism, and the Roborock Q8 Max+ clears every row on a pad mop but had no Amazon listing that passed our identity check. The iRobot Roomba 105 Combo is the cheapest self-emptying Roomba on the page at $299.

A mop that washes itself: the Roomba's dock washes and dries its pads, and this one's vibrating pad comes off by hand. And a mop-lift figure, which Roborock does not publish for it, so on rugs the page cannot judge it.

IRobot states a mop (two spinning pads) the dock washes and dries, lidar mapping and a dock bag rated at 75 days between changes, longer than the Roborock's 49 days. It does not publish a suction figure or say whether the brush is anti-tangle, and the dog is exactly what that row is for, so the verdict reads unknown. It lists at $800 and was $700 on Amazon when checked.

Living with it
Carpet is where the maker and the testers diverge: iRobot's page says the robot steers around carpet whenever it is mopping, and owners report the pads lift reliably when it senses carpet. Vacuum Wars found a single water level that leaves floors far wetter than most robots it has tested, an app that stayed buggy through testing, and in its favour a single roller that resists hair wrap far better than a two-brush design.

What this page can’t promise
Side by side means what the makers publish, and an empty cell is not a zero. The iRobot Roomba Plus 405 Combo may well have a tangle-resistant roller; iRobot does not say so in a line we can quote, and unknown is what silence earns.
